Introduction to the Theology of Karl Barth by Geoffrey W. Bromiley

Karl Barth's most important work is, without question, the 14-volume Church Dogmatics. Now Geoffrey Bromiley, whose lifelong encounter with Barth's work has included translating the Church Dogmatics into English, has written this helpful Introduction to the Theology of Karl Barth.

This Introduction does not make an ultimate plea for or against Barth's theology. It presumes rather that an encounter with Barth is worthwhile in itself, and therefore allows the material the chance to make its own impact, first in summary form and then in Barth's own extended outworking.

About the Author

A vintage book that has been read but is in good condition. Very minimal damage to the cover including minor scuff marks and creasing along the edges, but no holes or tears. The first page in the book, and the inside of the back cover both have a small rectangular sticker on them, on which is written the names of a previous owner. Above the sticker on the first page, another previous owner has written their name in very small lettering using a black biro. The majority of pages are undamaged with very, very minimal creasing but no tearing. No pencil underlining of text, no highlighting of text, no writing in margins. No missing pages. Still a very clean, solid and readable copy with very minor wear and tear.
