History Makers: 100 Most Influential People of the Twentieth Century by Ian Whitelaw, & Julie Whitaker

History Makers reveals who the most influential person of the twentieth century was - and why.

Counting down from #100 to #1, the entries are rated in order of the level of influence, using a specially devised mathematical formula.

Presented are the biographies of leaders who embodied a movement, and the innovators whose genius was to create something so new that, until their time, it was completely unimaginable. They are drawn from all fields of endeavour, but fall into five main categories: Politics & Leadership, Science & Technology, Popular Culture & the Arts, Business & Commerce and Knowledge & Philosophy.

People included are: Winston Churchill, Salvador Dali, Coco Chanel, Albert Einstein, James Joyce, Marilyn Monroe, Marie Curie, Henry Ford, John Lennon, Mao, and many more... But who is ranked at number one?
