Two for the Road by Rod Marsh, & Doug Walters (First Edition)

Only one thing is predictable when you put Doug Walters and Rodney Marsh together: a lot of fun. Yes, 'Freddie' and 'Bacchus' have been through a lot of campaigns together and now they're back at it again, proving that cricket is a funny, sometimes hilarious game. Walters, for instance, tells how he and some members of the Australian cricket team managed to upset British wine and food connoisseur Clement Freud (yes, a descendent of Sigmund) at a black-tie Lord's Taverners dinner. And how a perfectly well-meant Adelaide promotion for Toohey's light beer degenerated into a debacle. Marsh remembers the day stone-faced gatekeepers at the Foster's Oval wouldn't let him in just before a test match. And the time the nocturnal habits of his little mate Doug Walters almost caused a fit of apoplexy from an Australian cricket team manager.

When Walters wrote his big-selling One For The Road, he really meant it to be his one and only cricket humour book, but when Marsh read it he phoned and said, "Hey, pal, how about letting me in on the act?" So Two For The Road was born. If you like One For The Road, you'll find Two For The Road twice as much fun.
